Junior Electrical Engineer – Waterford Contractor

This is a 12 month contract with a very strong view to extension

Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join a growing team for our client – a specialist in innovative lighting solutions. This role involves designing and delivering lighting systems that meet both aesthetic aspirations and technical requirements, ensuring each project reflects our commitment to quality, efficiency, and design excellence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop lighting solutions that integrate seamlessly into architectural and interior design concepts.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, DIALux, and Relux.
• Assess project requirements and propose lighting solutions in line with regulations, standards, and client needs.
• Support the selection, specification, and integration of LED technologies and lighting control systems.
• Assist in the coordination of lighting designs with other building services.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure project milestones are met.
• Adapt quickly to evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Sustainability, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in lighting design, building services, or a related engineering discipline (advantageous but not essential for the right candidate).
• Proficiency in DIALux, Relux, AutoCAD, and lighting control systems.

• Knowledge of LED lighting technologies and relevant lighting regulations/standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnaround times.

Working arrangements

This is an on site role, remote working can be accommodated for one day per week in line with business needs
